- My name is Pamela Herbert, I'm an athabaskin native of Alaska. I've been married to a wonderful man for sixteen years. Although we have no children, we've helped my sister raise two beautiful children. I'm always at work or at home listening to relaxing christian music. I have been working for the U.S. Postal Service for the past four years. I am originally from Fort Yukon, Alaska, But I've been raised here in Chalkyitsik. Chalkyitsik has the population of around eighty people, its a athabaskin village, everyone lives a traditional lifestyle. We have two stores, a council office, a post office, a school and a youth center. Our tribe is the Dranjik Gwitchin Tribe.
